As you head out of Hathersage on the B6001 and take a left on to the B6521 you will pass the Grindleford Cafe on your left (at the station). This is a good place for some food followed by climbing at Yarncliffe Quarry, a bit further on, and on your right.

The High Neb area of Stanage Edge is at the far North-West end of the Edge. It is near the highest point.

Bamford Edge can be accessed from a minor road opposite the Yorkshire Bridge public house. The access situation is described as delicate, so Mr Darwent (the keeper) should be contacted on 01433 51458 for permission to climb. This is unlikely to be granted during the grouse shooting season.

Burbage North is found on the road between Hathersage and Ringlow. Parking is by a bridge, with the crag extending out ahead.
